Songs of Hope
SHIR Australian Jewish Music Festival (previously Shir Madness) presents Songs of Hope, an evening of music to unite, inspire and uplift our community. On the evening of October 6th, we are curating an opportunity for our entire kehilah to engage with deeply powerful Jewish music as a vehicle through which to remember, reflect on the past year, find catharsis and emerge transformed.
The evening will feature songs in English and Hebrew, many of which have formed the soundtrack to our lives over recent months. We have brought together Sydney’s finest and most inspiring Jewish musicians for this event and will be announcing our lineup in the coming weeks.
We invite the community to join us for what promises to be a concert like no other. A sacred time, on the Sunday between Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur, a time of transformation where we move from solemnity to joy. A moment for us to gather unapologetically as Jews in one of Sydney’s finest concert halls to express our Jewishness through music.
